  • The deadline for full payment is 5 days (120 hours) before the start time of your booking. In the event of a cancellation, all payments made are fully refundable up until this point. If full payment has not been received by this point, your booking will be cancelled and you will lose your deposit.

    Bookings can only be rescheduled up until the payment deadline, 5 days before the start time of your booking.

    For bookings made with less than 5 days notice, full payment is required within 24 hours if only a deposit has been paid. All payments made within 5 days of a booking are also non-refundable.

  • A commercial booking is where the content created is being used to generate revenue i.e. to sell a product or service such as e-commerce, brand campaigns or online advertising (including social media) as well as ticketed events.

    To qualify for the editorial rate, your booking must meet the following criteria:

    1. The studio usage or content created will not be used to generate revenue in any way, such as to advertise or sell a product or service. This includes marketing on social media , whether direct or indirect.


    2. Services on the day are provided on a pro bono basis or at a reduced rate (rather than at the usual commercial rate), such as photography, hair and makeup or styling etc.

    Examples of shoots that fall under our editorial category include; magazine stories, documentaries, student projects and test shoots.

  • Yes, parking is run by on-site management and priced at £2 per hour / £10 for the full day.

  • Studio 1 benefits from direct access to the service lift via the Red stairs entrance to Bussey Building. The lift is directly outside Studio 1 on the second floor.

    Studio 2 and Studio 3 are not always accessible from the lift due to the layout of the building. Lift access timings to Studio 2 and Studio 3 must be agreed upon in advance.

  • Due to nearby trainlines and a bustling site, we recommend against using the studios if a client needs to record long takes of clean audio.

  • You can cancel your booking up to 5 days (120 hours) before the start time of your booking. All payments made are fully refundable up until this point. If full payment has not been received by this point, your booking will be cancelled and you will lose your deposit.

  • Any time spent in the studio(s) outside of the allocated timings of your booking is deemed overtime. Overtime rates available here.

  • Each studio comes with photographic equipment included in the hire fee, check the individual studio pages to see what is included with each studio.

  • Each studio comes with a steamer, rail (more available on request), hangers, iron and ironing board.

  • Our minimum hire period is a half day. On weekends, the minimum booking in Studio 2 and Studio 3 is a full day.

  • Payment is taken by card and collected by Stripe. Payment via bank transfer is available on request.

  • Each studio has fibre optic WIFI.

  • Please note that we are no longer providing free coloramas. We stock the 2.72m size in arctic white, storm grey and black. We charge £20.00 per scoop and they can either be paid for in advance or by card on the day.

  • Tea, coffee, milk, oat milk and water are all included in the price. Each studio also has a fridge, microwave and kettle.

  • There will always be a member of staff on hand to make sure you are set up and comfortable with the lighting and all other equipment.

  • We are open 7 days a week.

  • The building's opening hours are 7:30am - 11pm.
